Primary care services
Federally Qualified Health Centers are primary care institutions that provide services to people with limited resources. They accept MassHealth or Health Safety Net and, in some cases, serve people without immigration status.
At these health centers, people can get more information about applying for MassHealth through patient assistance or financial services departments.
Boston Medical Center is another hospital where people can seek help.
MassHealth
For help enrolling in MassHealth, the nonprofit Healthcare For All provides assistance with the process. Call 1-800-272-4232; service is available in Spanish.
Before calling, make sure the person has an email address, an identity document, and a document showing their immigration status.
